Die schlichte Präsenz

Ich war 17 Jahre alt, als ich aus meiner Heimatstadt Hamburg nach Berlin ging. Ich hatte das Angebot bekommen in der ZDF-Serie „Die Wicherts von nebenan“ eine der Hauptrollen zu spielen. Es muss nach ca. 5 Wochen gewesen sein, als einer der älteren Schauspieler die Garderobe im Keller des Wichert Hauses betrat. Ich sah ihn nicht gleich, aber als er „Guten Morgen“ wünschte, dachte ich mir: Diese Stimme. Die kennst du doch. Natürlich kannte ich diese Stimme.

Ein Jahr zuvor hatte ich die Serie „Patrik Packard“ gedreht, sie war mein Einstieg ins Fernsehgeschäft und der Grund warum ich hier war. Und nun sah ich es wieder: Dieses freundliche Gesicht, das mich anlächelte. Es gab kaum jemanden, der solch eine Wärme ausstrahlte wie Andreas Mannkopff. Sein rundes Gesicht, das mich immer ein wenig an einen Spitzbuben erinnerte, war so sympathisch, das man natürlicherweise in seiner Nähe sein wollte. Kam er ans Set, war die Stimmung wie ausgewechselt. Spannungen oder Stress löste er durch seine schlichte Präsenz auf. Immer eine Anekdote zum besten gebend, machte er keinen Unterschied zwischen Regisseur und Beleuchter. Mit jedem hielt er ein Schwätzchen und ließ sich nicht drängen, auch wenn sich der Drehtag dem Ende neigte und alle nach Hause wollten. Sie mußten eh warten, denn der textsicherste war er nicht. 

Andreas Mannkopf war waschechter Berliner. Hier aufgewachsen, absolvierte er seine Schauspielausbildung beim legendären Fritz Kirchhoff. Nachdem er  vor allen am Düsseldorfer Kommödchen und in Berlin politisches Kabarett machte, führte seine Schauspielkarriere ihn früh zusammen mit Boleslaw Barlog, Boy Gobert und Heribert Sasse. Er trat im Fernsehen an der Seite von Klaus Kinski auf und war dort einer der meistbeschäftigsten Schauspieler, was ihn schließlich auch ans Set der „Wicherts von nebenan“ brachte. Genau wie mich. Ich allerdings hatte keine 30-jährige Karriere hinter mir, sondern war wie die Jungfrau zum Kinde zur Schauspielerei gekommen. Das aber war Andreas egal. Er machte keinen Unterschied zwischen erfahrenen Kollegen und mir. Schon bei Patrik Packard ließ er mich nie, wie andere am Set, spüren das ich mir das Recht hier zu sein erst erarbeiten müsse. Stattdessen fragte er mich, wie es mir ginge, ob mir Berlin gefiel und ob ich Hamburg nicht vermissen würde. 

Nach den Wicherts verlor ich den Kontakt zu ihm, wie zu den meisten Kollegen. Schauspieler  sind nun einmal Vagabunden, die von Ort zu Ort ziehen. Nur einmal, Ende der 90er, traf ich ihn bei einem Synchrontermin wieder. Er war natürlich älter geworden und sah erschöpft aus. Auch für ihn hatte sich die Branche verändert. Man mußte kämpfen um Jobs, das kannten wir früher nicht. Wir wünschten uns alles Gute. Und sahen uns nie wieder.

Andreas Mannkopf starb am 09.10.2015 nach langer schwerer Krankheit in Berlin.
